Lucea Main Road Corridor Rehabilitation — Project Update

Works on the Lucea main road corridor are progressing ahead of schedule. Phase one covering the Lucea town section is 60% complete.

Phase one of the Lucea main road corridor rehabilitation project is progressing ahead of the original schedule, with approximately 60% of the town section now resurfaced.

Construction teams have completed drainage repairs along the first four kilometres of the corridor, and asphalt laying is underway on the central sections of the route. The contractor has committed to completing phase one before the end of April 2026.

Phase two — covering the sections from the Lucea roundabout toward Sandy Bay — is scheduled to begin in May 2026. Engineering assessments for this phase are already complete.

Motorists are advised to observe reduced speed limits in active work zones. Flagmen are present during working hours (7 AM to 5 PM weekdays).

The constituency office will continue to post project updates on this platform. Residents with concerns about specific sections of road not covered by the current contract should contact the office.
