Rural Water Supply Expansion — Communities to Be Connected

Engineering assessments for the NWC rural water supply expansion are complete. Construction is set to begin in August 2026 and will serve over 1,200 households.

Engineering assessments for the National Water Commission rural water supply expansion project covering Jericho, Askenish, and sections of the Green Island corridor have been completed and approved.

The project, which will bring piped water to an estimated 1,200 households currently without reliable access to the main distribution network, is scheduled to begin construction in August 2026.

Project scope: - 18.4 km of new distribution mains - 3 new storage tanks with a combined capacity of 450,000 gallons - Upgrade of 2 existing pump stations - Installation of household connection points

Community consultations will be held in Jericho and Askenish in June 2026 to inform residents of the construction timeline and to register households for connection. Attendance is highly encouraged.

The constituency office will publish dates for these consultations as they are confirmed. Residents who wish to pre-register their household should contact the office at info@e-hanover.org.
